Keeping track of data quality, instant reporting of data issues
Data Management app
A standardized and accurate data basis across departments, IGP apps, and processes

Typically, grid data is spread across various systems such as GIS, ERP or EDM, and often needs to be manually consolidated and validated for grid simulations. This complicates achieving full transparency over the grid load across all voltage levels. At the same time, integrating decentralized energy producers and consumers demands a more detailed analysis of available grid capacity and a deeper understanding of the current grid state.
The Grid Transparency app provides a solution by offering insights into a complete, centralized, and calculable grid model that spans all voltage levels. All grid parameters, such as asset data, switching states, and supply task information, can be accessed in one central location. Additionally, load flow simulations and short-circuit analyses are automatically performed whenever data is updated. The results provide detailed insights into grid load and support planning measures, such as prioritizing grid reinforcements or deploying measurement infrastructure to validate actual grid utilization with real-time data.
What you can do with the Data Management app:
The Data Management app brings transparency to your data situation – during data import, through regular quality checks, or when handling data issues. The efficient data quality process provides better data, better calculations, and better decisions. That's not only important during the initial onboarding. The Data Management app continues to help you maintain consistently high data quality.
Three-step analysis – elemental, topological, electrical
To provide a valid grid data basis, the Intelligent Grid Platform combines three levels of analysis that ensure the data is both high-quality and reliable:
- Plausibility check on element level — detects incomplete or conflicting information
- Topological analysis — identifies blackfallen or wrongly connected grid segments
- Electrical grid section analysis – evaluates the computability and checks the plausibility of calculation results in regard to the supply task
This multilevel process ensures that the grid model serves as a reliable foundation for the next steps.
Elemental analysis: Overview and filtering for deeper insights
In the detail view of the elemental testing, you can look for specific imported elements and filter by type, voltage level, status, and quality level. Data issues and assumptions are clearly marked as error or sub error types, which can also be filtered by. The data can be conveniently exported as an Excel or a CSV file for further analyses. This helps correct the data in the source systems – providing a better overview for you, and a better data basis for all connected systems.
Report data issues – quick and easy
Wrong line type, faulty switch state, incorrect inner wiring? Not a problem! If you come across a data issue, you can report it directly from within the IGP — the respective form appears automatically. All the information entered here is clearly displayed in the respective tab in the Data Management app. This allows the responsible staff to access the data issues and take action to resolve them.
Data issues and anomalies – all in one place
Reported data issues can be accessed in a centralized overview. Using the sorting feature for individual columns, you can choose to display the table by issue ID, name of the issue, date or status. You can access the details of a specific issue by clicking on the respective element in the table. In addition to basic information, the details also include the processing status, keeping you informed about the issue's resolution progress at all times.
